My current computer:
AMD Athlon 3000+ 2.01ghz
1gb DDR RAM
7600GT
Asus K8N-E Deluxe

And I also gotta Logitech G15 gaming keyboard, razer lachesis mouse, creative gigaworks t40 2.0 speakers and a 17" screen.

Soon I will get: (keeping keyboard, mouse and speakers)
AMD Phenom II X4 Socket AM3 2.8ghz 8mb cache
4gb DDR3 1333
HD4850 GPU
22" LCD
and some random ASUS DDR3 overclocking/gaming mobo with a Thermaltake V8 midi tower.

Well I just got a good one really cheap but just about every laptop is more expensive than a desktop with the same specs.

I dunno my freind has a really good one that she got for about £250. And she takes it to college and stuff....

What are you talking about, laptops are like, never cheaper than a desktop of the same performance.

Also, from what my friends in college have told me, you pretty much never use a laptop ever.

I have the internet channel so i go on that, and i registered on my bros computer. I should be getting a new computer soon anyway!

I use a barebone system

motherboard: Bloodiron
proccesser: Q6600 Quad-core
Ram: 4x1gb sticks of ddr2 ram
Videocard: HD 3870 Redeon ATI overcloaked edition with 1 gb
Blueray drive, DVD burner, Flash card reader, and floppy drive
2x1TB hardrive
Windows XP Corp edition

with all said and done my computer is smoking

The desktop computer I'm on now is a (now old) hp pavilion f50 with probably 100-150 GB of memory. My father has a 17" laptop by Dell with about the same amount of memory I think (and it's also getting sucky by today's standards). I'm going to get a 14.1" Toshiba laptop very soon, with about 320GB storage and a speed of 2.26GHz (whereas the desktop computer is under 2).
