Valley of avalar: 1 of the red gems is next to the big tree near the cheetah village the second 1 is somewhere in the cave where where the hermit is the 3rd 1 is in the area with the elite enemy

Dam: 1st armor is in the area where you have to raise up the water there's an area to the right after you activate the cutscene where sparx says *lets blow up this dam thing* climb up the vines to find it.
the 2nd 1 is a give me just defeat that giant enemy that you saw in the opening of the game. i don't remember if there is a 3rd 1 or not in this level

Your on your own for that blue gem lol. Just search everywhere for it.

But I screwed up; You still go to the area to take you to Malefor, but if you look to the right of the wind funnel there'll be a little platform above the area where you can leap off to get to the area below the crystal(s). You have to have them fly up and onto it, and then from there you jump off and fly over to the crystal.

*cracks knuckles* Let's see...

- The elite catacombs enemy is in the "room" where the golem smashes his hand into the waterfall. After that scene, go left and drop down to the floor. He's around the corner (the only actual corner in the room, iirc). It's a grublin with a shadow mask (usually).

- Seeing as that level is just a bunch of arena style rooms, it shouldn't be too hard to find. Just run around each area before fighting the enemies, it might be in a corner or something.

- You got the one near the fire wheel I'm guessing. The second armor piece is on the second (higher up) path to the right of the starting area. You smash through one wall, go aways, reach another wall to smash. Drop down to the floor and go left (away from the wall) instead. You'll find vines blocking a panel on the floor (destroy with fire/poison). Using Spyro, jump above the panel and use his earth element to go into boulder form and land on the panel. It will be destroyed, revealing a chest.

- The crystals... I'm not sure if there's a specific way you're supposed to get them, but I got over there by spamming comet dash (and maybe wall-run?).

- I believe you need to climb up the rock wall as usual, and then jump down to the crystal.

@shadowsfall: I had a hard time with that at first too. But do you mean the top part or the bottom part? If the top, I went to the area where it takes you to Malefor and flew left until I reached the flatform. It worked back then, but I just tried it and they were flying too low, unless I did something different.
