Same here. Every time I've played the game again since and had to fight Gaul, though, I haven't been able to do it! :'(

That glitch will defentinetly help speed things up while i'm fighting Gaul.

in TEN, when you fight gaul, if you get him to land in the purple light, he stays there, and can't teleport. BUT if you stop hitting him, then he'll get un-stuck. And it's kinda tricky to do. It's taken me quite a few tries to get it every time.
