Hmm If it's a green mask I think Spyro's earth boulder or Cynder's poison breath's should work. After that attack and use the snake skill to doge and attack. Hope this helps but like ash-tridant said the pattern can change. So keep an eye out if it's helmet changes colour and good luck.

another thing to know is that the elements vary... I know, I defeated a ogre that had a helmet that switched from fear, lightning, fire, and earth, (find it in burning plains), this happens once you leave the area or die, also, pay attention to the paterns

Ok, sometimes it depends on where you hit the Grublin, use the element that is shown by the mask's color and ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK, once that mask goes off, lay it on him.

Hmm, green colored? Then you need to attack it with either earth or poison breath attacks until the mask comes off.

HOW DO I DEFEAT HIM?! None of my attacks weaken him! :'(
