After all, in ANB, he didn't suddenly know where all the guardians were, he found them one at a time, and he probably spent a while looking in the pool just to figure that much out.

Then, in TEN, he said he couldn't find Cynder after she'd run off, so there must be limits to have he can do.

Well, when Spyro,cynder and sparx got frozen, seems he could of looked in the pool to see what happend to them?
