Actually, that also could be interpreted in different ways. He's just "suggesting" that something weird is going on because he's not in the book, and if you wanted them alive you could use that theory. Then again, maybe he wasn't in the book because thanks to a purple dragon's nature they aren't allowed in it or something. We don't really get much explanation for the book anyway, it just happens to be there as a final convenience.

It's not really that I want them to die or anything I just personally think his sacrifice is cheapened if he lived through it. What's the point of emotional impact of the sacrifice then? I would have preferred there was no sacrifice at all and there was a happy ending where they're all gloating on a table over drinks but maybe that was asking too much.

What do you have to say about the chronicler exploding?

I can clarify on a few matters I beleive,

First off, those skeletons you face in Warfang and at the Hermits, THOSE are what's left of the apes. Yep, they're undead now. Second, the new creatures? Most likely golems of some sort.

Second, why did Malefor switch minions? Answer: Quite possibly he knew the Apes would balk if they knew about bringing about the Destroyer, so he did away with trying to keep a charrade up and just made them undead.

Third, the catapult, why is it a cannon? Misnaming probably. Though calling a laser cannon a 'energy catapult' is not unheard of (and sometimes better sounding).

Fourth, did Spyro and Cynder die? Well, here's where we enter the world of theory and guesswork. I've seen both oppinions, Spyro and Cynder somehow escaped (Cynder's Cloak of Shadow ability while protecting Spyro in it as well and using him for the needed energy? Possibly), and that they're in 'some sort of heaven', though the fact that the Chroniclor said 'When a dragon dies, a new page is written in this book', but Spyro wasn't in it, which means he's alive.

Fifth, how the hell did water stop the Golem and the destroyer? Answer: Water probably super-cools the magma, and when you super-cool something super-hot, it really is not something that you want to happen to you. Probably why it worked.

Sixth, where the heck did the buildings in the Floating Isles come from? Warfang wasn't blown apart like that, but Warfang's buildings are there! And the Temple didn't have that kind of buildings either. Answer: Possibly just a reuse, but Malefore MAY of had his minions build them to show 'extra supiriority', also, some of Warfang beign taken out and being built over durring the war can NOT be overlooked.

Seventh: What did Mason mean by 'This gate was mean as an exit to our city, not for going back in'? Answer: It is possible that before they made an alliance with the dragons, they lived underground, like all moles usually do. The fact that something chased them out of that underground city long ago can not be overlooked either, but then again, if that's the case, why would you make it openible from the INSIDE ONLY? Answer: To stop an idiot from letting loose whatever's inside onto the city.

Eighth: What happened to Cheif Prowlus? He was last seen charging the army, but some Cheetah's were still alive in later cut scenes. Answer: Most likely he was a not-mentioned KIA, but the fact that he was unable to continue fighting afterwords due to injury or they just over looked him after that part.

Ninth: What was the point of seiging Warfang if he was going to blow the world up anyways? And why spend THREE YEARS WAITING? Answer: Well, it's most likely that Malefor needed time to ressurect the Destroyer, and well, if I was trying to bring some apocalyptic creature, I wouldn't just sit quietly and do it, because the Guardians would be breathing Fire, Ice, Electricity, and Earth down my sorry rear in no time once they knew. The War would also serve as a excellent distraction, and allow me to gauge what he'd have to pour in to keep the Destroyer from being taken out.

10th: Why did the Destroyer survive Spyro and Cynder's attack on it's heart, and why didn't they make another attack on it? Answer: Well, they showed something (looking like either a Uvula, or, *shudder* Something more. . . 'masculine') still glowing, and I don't think Spyro and Cynder would of been able to make a round 2 in there at that point by the looks of the lava coming out of it's mouth when they took the heart out.

11th: Why was Ignitus unable to keep a sheild against the flame up, and why didn't he show Spyro how or just run through it instead of walking? Answer: First off, the flame could of been to long, and running would make it hard to keep it up (as in too hard to keep up), and also he may not of had TIME to teach Spyro,  after all, a techquie like that probably takes a few years of practice to be able to sustain it for a long period of time.

Hope that clears stuff up, but again, most of it is theory and logic that I can come up with, so it isn't cannonical.
