Or they do not age in the crystal, but age rapidly to catch up once out. I have read books in which it happens like that.

Take a look at this pic, what do you see? Is that the Chronicler? Is he a ghost coming back to help Spyro and Cynder on their quest? The Chronicler stated in TEN by saying, "I have been waiting a thousand years for you, Spyro." And I guess............his time has passed and died in the next 3 years when Spyro and Cynder have been frozen in time. The Chronicler was clamed being 1000 years of age! Do you think a dragon can live a thousand years when wars rage on and on and on and sits in his chamber adding facts to the Books of Time? Just look at this picture and see for yourself, sure, it may look scary at first, but it is a dragon no doubt about that, thank you.
