What if he hadn't saved her?

Think about it, what if this little black dragon had been trapped in convexity, then in The Eternal Night Spyro would've had to go back into convexity, back into the light, possibly turn evil and attempt to save Cynder. I know it's a crack idea, but I think it would've been a good cliff hanger if he hadn't saved her and she had been trapped in convexity at the end of A New Beginning.
