Still, I still stand by my message on saying that a huge amount of the characters in Year of the Dragon were likeable thanks to their different personality traits and everything. I just found it disappointing that the attitudes for the other playable characters in that game got toned down ever since, though I do agree that Sgt Byrd - and to some extent Agent 9 as well - faced drastic changes to the point that they ended up being shadows of their former selves.

I still thought giving him a rocket pack in A Hero's Tail was crossing the line as he's capable of flying well himself - compare his control methods in both titles and you can see what I mean on that the general flight physics aren't even that drastic. As far as I'm concerned, almost ANYTHING can happen with Sgt Byrd in the duration that he was fighting with hummingbirds sporting French accents in Year of the Dragon.

Well he didn't feel *that* much faster in comparison to how he was controlled in Year of the Dragon. Then again, Sgt. Byrd wasn't initially a character initiated for the concept of speed.
I would have thought his placement in the hummingbird army would mean a transition to muscle enhancers? Or is that too outside the box?

that's because of vivendi they think Sgt. Byrd doesent need wings just his jet pack so he could go faster in time limits.

I thought Sgt. Byrd made some great fun out of the secret agent genre, at least in Year of the Dragon. Though I do agree that since then his attitude was either watered down (GBA titles) or completely off-sync with how we knew him before (A Hero's Tail; again, explain how a penguin that can fly naturally needed to use a jet pack here -_-).

You hate Sgt. Byrd. I don't he is British I just like him and he also is cool but not cooler than Spyro.

You mean Sgt. Byrd? I don't mind him as much. But you were right about my opinion of Blink...hate his missions.

I also hate the bird on Breeze Harbor...you know that cart quest where you have to pick up the gears on the trolley.

The short levels where you were playing with Blink (AHT) were very difficult I think - thats the reason why I don't like Blink so too.
But I havn't anything against the other characters....

I don't like Blink. Or Ripto in any other game besides Ripto's Rage.

Ok maybye I do hate some characters like:Ripto,Red,Blink,Sparx(IN Spyro enter the dragonfly)Flame,(only a little)Hunter(in Spyro enter the dragon)and G.G.Ghasty (nuke) Gnorc.

I thought Blink faced a rough direction when it came to the character's execution. But yes, I'm with Violet and I'm saying that Ripto is easily among one of the more hatred characters. It was cool to see him show as a threatening creature in Ripto's Rage, but since then he was thrown out and battered around like a ragdoll. It's his reappearances that I personally thought have almost killed off some of the magic that we've come to associate with the Spyro series.
