OKn is right. PS2 has been ariound 9 years its lifetime was supposed to be 10 years, which 2009 will mark its 10th year the original Xbox and Gamecube COMBINEd has not lated as long as the PS@ has, which is testimony to the quality of the PS2. THE PS3 however is an excellebt systenm, and I expect the PS4 (if there is one) will be even better. I have all 3 PS systems btw....

Spyro doesn't sell systems. Sales wouldn't be affected at all.

DotD will come out for PS2. It has been announced.

Whoever told me to shut my mouth, you cannot do anything to stop Sony from discontinuing PS2. PS2 is dying. It has been around for nearly NINE YEARS. Xbox was dead at 4 and gamecube at 5.

PS3 was intended as a replacement for PS2 and it will be. The same thing happened with PS1 and PS2.

Its good that its comeing out on the Ps2....because those who dont have Ps3s, can still play it, tho im gana get a Ps2 shortly because of mah big fat paychecks from work

Yea, seriously, there isn't going be major differences between the HD and the normal copies.

They will all have bloom
They all have the same level sizes (thanks to the amazing ATLAS technology)
They won't lose much detail.

I would give a list of exactly what will be different, but I posted it on enough threads.

All I can say it, the graphics won't look that much different, and none of the main features will make a difference.

I think that they'll stop making games for the PS2 when the PS3's price is lowered. I mean they still made games for the PS1 when the PS2 was quite old. But yes I do think that the next Spyro game won't be released on the PS2.

I know I won't be getting a PS3 anytime soon. And I don't really care, because I like PS2 better anyway. Much less bulky.

HOWEVER, I WILL PROTEST IF THEY DON'T RELEASE ANY MORE SPYRO GAMES ON PS2! I will write a professional business letter ( I learned how to do that in computer class) and send it to them directly at their office, and I urge other PS2 players to do the same.

With everyone pitching in, we might be able to convince them.
