I liked Spyro 1 the best. I just liked the design of the levels a lot more than any other Spyro games. Architecturally beautiful, and the skies were fantastic.

i agree with DPX, i like the first series, but not as much as The Legend of Spyro series, you dont have to collect gems or eggs or anything like that and you get to reputably smash the bad guys while there in the air. I like the first series, but not as much as The Legend of Spyro series, the first series is like a classic, but The Legend of Spyro series is more modern and has more killing in it.

So all in all i like The Legend of Spyro series better. (and i know that you can still collect stuff on The Legend of Spyro series)

Anyway, Spyro 1 brings back a lot of memories, but I prefer #3. They're all good though.

I prefer.... Argh. Not sure. I guess overall I do, though I change my fave every now and then. It's always between the first 3 games.... I loved the very first Spyro in general, it was always fun to hear what the dragons had to say when you rescued them

^ The missed gems were half of the fun! Also they are part of why the originals were much longer than the TLOS series. The originals had more to do than fighting i.e gem collecting.

They all are good...to me...but my favorite still has to be the Legend series because best story and no need to think of gems missed.

Spyro 1 is fantastic but i think that Spyro 2 and 3 and ANB are all better than it. But i still play Spyro 1 a fair bit.

I love the first one. Was lots of fun for me when I first started.
But I don't place it higher than the rest.

i love the first 3 games too, spyro 1, not the most, it was a bit too simple, but it does hold a special place in my heart!

I love this first series.
I agree, with all these breaths and fighting moves and such it's a little carried away.
And consistant button smashing.
