Another thing I'd like to bring up, in light of what I've been seeing in a lot of the RPs on this section of SF.

There will be times when those involved in an RP can't make it on at some point. It could be due to a computer malfunction, serious lag, the RPer could be on vacation. Or, they could have other things to do, such as school, work, etc. Keep in mind that not everyone can be on practically all day. People have lives off of the computer (or at least, I'd hope so).

When such a thing happens, and you notice that there's an RPer who hasn't posted in a while, out of common courtesy, either stop or slow down the RP until the aforementioned person returns. And leave a synopsis (summary of what's happened recently) for them as well, so they have a place to jump in upon their return. I can not count how many times I've seen an RP die off because RPers who were left behind in such a great way became so frustrated, that they left the RP. Eventually, as one RPer leaves, others may leave as well, effectively ending the RP.

So please, out of respect for those who can't be on at all hours of the day, keep your posts to an RP under control, so that the RPers who can't be on all day can at least have something to do in an RP when they're able to start again.

Pinball means that if someone is not posting in a specific RP for a while it could start to die. So some users do their best to keep it alive. And well yeah usually some people use four characters. That could include their own made up ones or ones from the Spyro universe themself's.

What are RPGs?
An RPG is a role playing game. You are basically controlling your character and telling a story on your character's view. The other players (members) are going to play along and form a story. All the graphics of the RPG game is rendered in your imagination.

Sounds great! Can I start posting?
Hold it! Not just yet. Before hopping in an already going RPG (5-10 pages plus), ask permission first. They could be in the middle of something they don't want to be interrupted. That's okay, though. If they say no in a nice way, there must be a clear reason why. Also, reading the first page of the RPG is very helpful as there is the outline of the setting. You should start there.

Also note. If this is going to be your very first RPG, please join an RPG when it is newly created. You will learn the basics easier.

How do you hop on an RPG?
After asking for approval of the players, you start by giving a background of the character you will play. Then you will somehow introduce the character in the game's storyline.

What does OOC mean?
OOC means Out Of Character. It is usually saying the game is paused then he will say a comment, usually asking a question.

What are "Pinball" posts?
Pinball posts are posts that keep the RPG alive, if nobody is posting on it. It is accepted here.

What are the stuff that are off limits?
Generally, in RPGs, we do not impose limits. Keep it rated PG and add spoiler tags on parts that could disturb some readers. But generally, yeah, we don't limit RPGs.

Hopefully, I have answered all your questions. If you have more, feel free to ask!
