I know its not true,
but if I had to use my name on the internet I'd destroy my PC with a nuke-bomb.
I basically depend on the anonymity of the 'nets to escape from stress.

Well that's a relief (I relly got to stop speed reading). Even so, I wouldn't count it out for future events that are being planned for us (for personal beliefas and reasons). This law definitely seems plausible to happen but that God it hasn't.

I didn't actually think they'd try and go through with it. First the Patriot Act and now this. What are they just trying to scream "Stay in line or we'll come to get you." (It's probably because of statements like that is why they'ree doing this.) Isn't this imposing on our right to anonymity and if anything this will only increase organized or premeditated crimes. Of course I don't think it's just your real name that they want. They will most likely be asking for your address as well. Otherwise they have no way of prooving that it's your real name. And that will only make matters of crime worse. What the crap are they trying to accomplish with this? "If anyone gets hurt because of meeting over the internet we'll be able to find them easier." That sounds like a huge load to me. If anything this will decrease the number of people using the internet because of overbearing parents, so any forum sites or chatrooms will eventually go down from not having enough members which is essentially what the internet was primarily used for. If anything this "law" would destroy the internet and then our only means of communication would be phones government officials could easily listen in on. This is terrible.

A Website can outfox China's filtering. Sure tech people can make such websites in free countries and deploy them to bypass the filter.

China does a good job of completely censoring it. It's not impossible. They can just block users in America (or whatever government that wants to censor the internet) from viewing certain websites. Never say never, Raidon.

A regular PC can be used as a personal webserver or for a website with a very light load, but spyroforum is hardly under light load.

Every page has to be generated on-the-fly with php. phpBB has a templating engine that also puts a load on the server, and with a few mysql queries every load and over 20 users loading pages at the same time all day, it adds up.
