Yeah, I thought that it was there to dodge, but kept forgetting it was there and never used it. I also never realized that it was taken out in Spyro 2 and Spyro 3. And yeah, it was a lot easier just to jump out of the way anyways...

That's what I learned to do after I replayed the games when I was older. Too bad I wasn't that smart when I was 6 year old. xD

Yeah, that's the one thing that came to mind when thinking about the roll's usage. I think they were meant for those dogs.

Though truthfully I always just flamed them then jumped right away and flamed in the air while the dogs were getting ready to squash me.

I never bothered with it, but like what other people said, it was meant for dodging enemies. I always just played around with it, and made him roll all over the place. XD

Actually, it works against some enemies.

I'm sure it can be used against other enemies effectivly, but it is a useful ability.

I only use it for fun. I never really use it to doge enemys attacks, mainly because i forget that its there

I used it for fun when fighting Gnasty Gnorc. And to avoid the canonballs in Peace Keepers home. But I think it works better to just jump out of the way, actually.

I think I'm the only one here who REALLY used it 0_o

Well it was helpful...really good against the Suits of armour in Haunted Towers(fast whacks),and against dodgeing Big Gnorc attacks.

I used it for evading boss attacks, especially Gnasty's. But it's nothing else much.

Shame they removed it on the 2 and 3.

I always thought it was for dodging opponents, though I never used it for that - I used it for fun XD;
