Vista however, i would like to torture the team who worked on vista for all the suffering theyve caused me

my computer once crashed, losing all my info (most of it at least) because i downloaded and ran quicktime... i didnt want quicktime, but there were some art tutorials bundled with my wacom tablet which needed it, i downloaded it, ran it once, fine, ran it a second time fin... no wait blue screen of death... and after that the computer wouldnt start

i guess its ironic that i bring up that story here considering quicktime is created by apple

ive had other problems with vista but its... its just too painful to speak of...

So far, my grandpa's laptop runs vista, and it has de-registered microsoft office 2 times and had to do a full system restore 3 days after we bought it.

Javascript is a web-based language dude. Its used for dynamic content on webpages, like my name, it uses javascript to make it wave up and down. That makes no sense, macs thrive off javascript?

I can't see how its easier to terminate an application on osx than it is on a PC. ctrl+alt+delete then task kill. Easy. And I haven't had my whole system freeze for just wanting to close down one app, ever.

XP gives me flexibility. It allows me to do whatever I want to it, unlike your macs.

And, as far as I know, theres no such thing as a "windows.dll" file on a windows PC.

Apple tries to lock its OS to its own hardware so it has complete control over who can sell their hardware with their OS on it, so they have a monopoly. Thats why I can buy a windows laptop for $500, but I would never find a mac laptop for that price. Hardware is hardware, it doesn't make the OS more reliable.

I could build a far superior PC in terms of hardware for less than what you would pay for a basic mac.

Also, I don't think microsoft has their own brand of pc out.

The only reason I don't like PC's is because of crashes. Now, with the PCs I've had in the past, everyone of them just some how died. No virus, no nothing, it just died.

On Macs, when something screws up, its 20x easier and faster to close out of it. The whole system doesn't freeze for wanting to close just one program. The way macs codes are run, its easier to terminate a program than on a PC

Its just not worth it to the malware writers to write stuff for macs because they symbolize less than 5% of the market. Why waste your time writing malware for something that most likely will not spread as much as writing it for windows? Theres no point.

And Neotyguy40, OpenGL is a graphics rendering engine/api. Its not a language and in fact, im using it right now to render some stuff on Vue 6 on my windows xp pc. And where did this unicode thing come from? Unicode is a system for displaying letters/symbols of the alphabet from every language on earth, not a programming language!

Unicode: A 16-bit code standard for uniform representation of all the character systems in the world, digits, symbols, and control sequences to use when storing data.

I can say, without a doubt, there is more open source apps for PCs than there is for macs.

I said that 'most' of the open source software is available for Mac, I didn't say more then Windows.

Macs can't get viruses unless your stupid enough to actually type in your password for an e-mail attachment... Macs sub-internal code can't be effected unless you type in your password each time you want to make a change. And the really REALLY internal code can only be changed by Apple themselves with an application called 'software update'.

The reason why the EULA is made so you can't install it on any other system is because that's what makes Mac so reliable! Everything comes from one place that works the way it should. If you installed Mac on a dell, then it would probably be worse.

Now if everyone used a Microsoft computer instead of alienware, dell, etc. then it would probably not have all these bugs and glitches now...

Let me share some Windows experiences with you all:

Every time I am on the computer for more then 2 hours at a time, I get an error message with this:

'Error code 3108, windows.dll'

Then it shuts down

Now I called customer support and they told me I needed to restart my computer... Like wtf? I have to shutdown the computer and then boot it up just so that it will happen again?

After I installed a peice of software I've been using for a long time called Torque Game Engine Advanced, some kind of McAfee window popped up and told me that I had 99999 viruses on my computer. When it went to automatically delete them, it deleted my whole Windows side of my hardrive. Good thing I had a recent backup...

Ok, so here is something annoying that happens,

every time I use an application that connects to the internet, a window pops up saying '*blank* application is trying to connect to the internet. Cancel or Allow?'

This even happens every time I open a new webpage too! And the worst problem is... I can't turn it off! I set it off but it still keeps going!
