The first lionking had better music, but the characters were lame>_< and the story was horrible! Simba's dad dying, Scar was creepy, bad. The only characters I admired was Mufasa,Nala,Sarafina,Pumba, and Sarabi. The Hyeanas were ok, I loved the female one and pretended to be her and bite my Simba plusie and the Nala one and through them on the ground!!!! Great fun!!!!

Finding Nemo did pass up the Lion King.. but it was a collaboration, so it doesn't count.. . high School Musicial? Was that released as a film? I know it did not gross $300 million...

Didn't High School Musical and Finding Nemo became more sussefull than the Lion King (according to wikipedia)?

The Lion King was the last great Disney film. all of the movies coming after it neither had its commercial sucess nor reached it quality. I hated Lion King 2 it was a third -rate romeo and Juliet, 1.5 was ok, but the original was so much better. as is true for almost all Disney sequels they don't compare to the original..

Yeah, the Lion King is a great movie. Ahh brings back many memories. ^.^ It's such a cute movie.
