What's really fun to think about is that the metal she's wearing probably has magical properties. If it didn't, she'd choke to death as she grew. o.O

You could get them off.....all it takes is lots and lots of heat to heat that metal up for it to melt, or get something that cuts metal. i highly dout that that metal is made of gundanium like in gundam wing that is pritty much indestructable by most things.

It could actually be sort of...attached to her, by the DM so that she's marked as his slave. She literally might not be able to get them off. Unlikely, I guess, but still...it's a thought.

Id say its either one jewlery the dark master gave her, is armor, or just plain some how born with it...(option 3 in really unlikely)

No...I'm pretty sure in the Felmouth and Captured FMVs, she has them...I'll have to check, but I'm sure they were there the last time I watched them, which was...about a month or two ago.

In the in-game cutscenes, she does have her wing blades, yes. But in all the FMV sequences, she's missing them until the very last two.

I still shudder at refering 'teenager' to Spyro and Cynder. (They really do just look like updated models)
I reckon it was an error with the cutscenes though.
To Razz: In all the FMVs except for the intro she had those wing blades...Well, in my version anyway.

I'm getting used to seeing them again, but I really did prefer her without. Besides the confusion of why she suddenly has them again, one thing is bothering me: they look painful. Look at those little spikes around the edges. I guess that might make sense if there is a reason why they're back now in the story, but I suspect it's just a cosmetic thing.

It's like Genie's bracers in Disney's Aladdin. XD

Honestly, the wing blades thing probably was an animation error. Little Cynder had them at the end of ANB and she has them in her official TEN art, which suggests that they're a part of her (her model art for DotD looks like part of her tail was removed to put that blade on, too).

I'm kinda thinking the same as Maniac, but either way I think it's strangely fitting for her teen-self. You know, since teenage girls like to look 'tough' or 'with it' wearing all these bangles and doodads and stuff... never really understood that, and I'm one of 'em. Huh.
I always thought it was odd when they just magically disappeared in ANB. Perhaps they've reappearred because of the Dark Master's return, and once he's finally defeated she'll be 'freed' and even lose her markings at the end.
But I like her markings. I hope they stay. D:

Edit: Rofl, I take too long to post. Sorry if I sound like I'm repeating everyone else, honest mistake. XD And I never noticed that her wing blades disappeared/reappeared, I'll have to look for that next time I go through the agony of playing TEN again.

The thing is, she has those wing blades because she and Spyro grew older. Also check her wing size and Spyro's.

I would like to know why she's wearing the collar and tail ring again, myself. The gauntlets on her front legs make a little bit of sense: thanks to the site, we now know that those are part of dragon armor. But the collar and tail ring were a clear sign of her evil nature in ANB and she lost them when she was freed from the Dark Master's power. It's possible she was given them in TEN and, since we only see her pretending to be evil near the end, the cut scenes might have left them out (I noticed that in all the FMVs before she attacks Spyro, her wing blades are gone, but in the final FMVs featuring her, they're back; it could have just been an animation error, but it seems a bit suspicious). I think we'll have to wait for the new game to really find out.
