Why would Spyro become the gaurdian of fire? He's a purple dragon, and has all of the elements. I see him more as a fifth gaurdian who lives with the other four, and is sort of the "leader".

well to start will theres the voice just imagine Gary oldman's voice being a bit more wispy a bit like a ghost.

the spiret dragon teaches you the braeths in ETD and teaches you fire and meleeing in ANB.

in ANB ignitus says these words "as you mite of summised I am master of fire  and perhapes one day you may be too" hint hint somethings going to happen to ignitus and spyro will take over as fir gardian,as for ignitus he'll become the spiret dragon since theyd never kill him of probly.

in ETD spyro seems to know the spiret dragon well even though it's his 1st and anly apperence in the spyro series
