I was actually a little scared when Spyro flew up to hover above Cynder and Sparx and was all evil; I thought he was really going to hurt them. But Cynder knocked him out of it and all is good and well... Except for the fact that they become trapped. :'( Poor Spyro, Cynder, and Sparx. At least Spyro froze them in some type of stasis, so that they could " Ride out the storm, and live to fight another day.")
I feel bad for Cynder. It must have been painful for her, seeing Spyro almost go the same way she did.

Spyro definitely wouldn't have turned out like Cynder. He's another purple dragon, which means he's probably more able to fight darkness than she is. Also, Cynder was raised as the DM's servant and probably thought it was the right thing to do (even if she didn't like it) when she became his devoted servant.

i dont realy think Spyro would be just like Cynder. i think he mite have been permanent dark Spyro or somethin...

If you have completed the eternal night you will see that the final fight (or second part of gaul) Spyro gains new powers from the soul beam. My explanation for these powers is in fact Spyro's dark side or maybe just a dormant power that has been unlocked by the power of the darkness so in every sence any explanation could be correct but I will stick with Spyro being influenced by darkness

Spyro wasn't in the soul beam for long, just at the wrong time. I think he was touched by darkness and he let it overtake him while he was fighting Gaul, but being knocked around by a friend put some fight back in him and he pushed the darkness away himself. I think Cynder spent at least a few hours chained in that beam, with the Dark Master's power focused directly on her, while Spyro was only touched slightly with that darkness.

The beam has to fully take hold in Spyro's body. It takes time for him to be like Cynder USED to be even though the beam wasn't for him.

i wonder how cynder knocking spyro out of the beam turned him back to normal cause when spyro was fighting gaul he was out of the beam and he was still dark! huh

Yeah. When Spyro gets caught in the beam and turns into Dark Spyro he is super powerful. But it's kinda scary too see him like that. Now Spyro knows how Cynder felt.

Yeah if Cynder hadn't saved Spyro, he probably would of become a monster like the Dark Master. I am sooooo glad she did save him. That whole bit with Dark Spyro reminds me of Anakin Skywalker from Star Wars 3 Revenge of the Sith.

I happen to agree with you on this one, Spyro appeared in the wrong place at the wrong time and the fact that the soul beam gave him extreme power against part 2 of Gaul you could kind of know that Spyro can also be influenced by the darkness so something tells me that a really good fan-fic can be made from this.

Either way it shows that even the mightiest of heroes can be seducted by evil

Yeah. It wouldn't be pretty. The beam was meant for Cynder but Spyro stop the whole plan.
