If it's a reboot, then neither series could be a prequel to each other. Therefore ratchet (and anyone else who thinks so too), TLoS can't take place thousands of years before the Insomniac Games -----> Shadow Legacy, because it's a reboot. Reboots retcon everything that was released before it.

There is Many theories on this, But in truth, TLOS is a reboot, meaning that it has no connection to the old Series Whatsoever. My Theory is that TLOS takes place 1000s of years before the original games, THe TLOS Spyro is A Different Spyro to the one in the original games. They Are not necesarily related or Even joined in Spirit. Hunter In TLOS Is a relative of Hunter In RR, all Boys in the family share the name "hunter". As For Spyro, Spyro means "the one who breaths fire from the inside", When Spyro's egg broke after he Blew fire from the inside, They Decided to name him Spyro because that is whjat it means. It Also happened to be that He Was Also a purple dragon. Sparx Was Named After Sparx aswell. After the Darkmaster's defeat, Purple Dragons got born more. There is a few more things to add to this, but that was the basics.

There are a few things which make this statement wonky. TLO Spyro is never mentioned in Any of the Old Spyro games (Because of obviously Gameplay mechanics but still...) and it would seem like the dragons didn't consider Old Spyro's (Original Spyro) name to be comming from TLOS Spyro. Its Confusing.

More Theories are....
*Spyro is Reborn
*The Originals were the prequels
