The 80gb PS3 doesn't play all PS2 games, only a few. The old 60gb which I own, can play ALL ps1 and ps2 games.

Hmm...sound pricey...there's a 70% chance that my parents won't get and 30% chance that my parents will get for the $399 one, and a 90% chance for not getting and 10% chance of getting for the $499 one. Man this sucks...cause my parents aren't made of money, and to me, anything over $200 for my parents getting me makes me feel bad.

The 40-gig PS3 costs $399, but PS2 games will not work. the 80-gig is about $499 and can play PS2 games..and of course, all PS3s come with BlueRay players.

I wish I could know what the PS2 versions would look like soooooo bad. Cause that's the one I'm getting. Unless I can somehow put the PS3 on my Christmas list and the Spyro game and hope for the best. But I highly doubt it. Anyone know what a PS3 costs?

Did anyone think they were? I haven't seen any posts like that, but then I don't read everything on the board.

I wish they would release some shots of the PS2 version, though. I wonder if the textures will be more like ANB and TEN (more cartoony, simplistic) or simply low-res versions of what we've already seen. I'd prefer the former, as it seems to me the latter would only highlight the difference in technology. They should make the best of the PS2's graphics instead of trying to be a pale imitation of the next-gen systems.

For those who believe that the screenshots you are seeing are for the DS and wii and PS2 are mistaken. Those screenshots are from PS3 and 360. Don't get your hopes up if you are planning to get the DS version. The DS is barely more powerful graphics-wise as the Nintendo 64.
