Hm, the Wii screenshots definitely look better than PS2 is capable of. Maybe they took Wii as the baseline for next gen, and only upped the texture and screen resolution for PS3 and Xbox 360, and perhaps added some effects. That means that the game should be pretty much identical between PS3 and Xbox 360.

IMO... UE3 sucks. I have R6V2 and omg it sucks, I just like the water and reflexes. Dunno if that's possible with the Wii... a 243Mhz GPU couldn't handle Killzone 2.
Check this out: http://talkplaystation.com/wp-content/u … -08_01.jpg
PS3 is SOOOO powerful, I want devs to make it sue!

For UE3, it would take 500,000 polygons to load one side that TGEA could load with 1... That is a HUGE difference.

Unity may not have as good of a shading engine as TGEA or UE3, but it has a coding language that can speed up graphics hardware.

TGEA also has ATLAS terrain (which I hope a Spyro version will be implemented in DotD), and ATLAS let's the game have a unlimitedly amount of environments. It works by storing a section of a level in the hardrive, and once it comes into view, it loads it up while leaving the terrain far away still in the hardrive. To get UE3 to load terrain like that would take a HUGE graphics card.

UE3 may have a good shading system and everything, but they have crude methods to release more advanced ones while other game engines can release them better (even if it is a bit harder).

Wii can hold alot of high intensive graphics, it's just that nobody has tried some more advanced techniques to release them...

I still don't see why people say the Wii has bad graphics...

I loaded up one of my games on the Wii, and I was able to render 18 different scenes, with 3 shaded effects, while loading 200 textured meshes in each with 5,000 polygons each. I also used 2 sets of dynamic lighting. It took less then 20 seconds to load, and there was NO lag at all...

In english: Think 5 Halo 3 levels.

You see? People don't understand a limit until they try it for themselves...

Sure, the PS3 and Xbox could load twice that much, but you would barely notice the difference.

We have almost hit the highest point in graphics rendering... I would give about 3-4 more console generations before we will stop noticing any difference between those.
