Ripping music from the originals are much easier. PS2 disks are tricky, and the files for the ANB series are hard to rip from.

PS1s are easy, yes.

PS2s are hard since it has Hardware-Based Encryption. This means the files are scrambled in some way that only real systems can read them.

How do you do it for TEN on PS2?

RIPPING VOICES AND SOUND EFFECTS FROM PS1 DISCS.

Insert the game disc in your computer. In my case, I'm ripping the voice in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!

1. Download PSound from HERE. When you have the file, unpack it.

2. Open the PSound

3. You may get this error. Don't worry, it's not bad, just click OK.

4. Then open FILE, then SCAN DIRECTORY

5. Then click the CD or DVD drive he disc is in and click OK.

6. The program will start scanning. This may take a while so sit back or go to the fridge for a drink or something.

7. The search uncovers 2500 Sound Effects and Voices. To preview a clip, click the number and press PLAY. Since there are 2500 Numbers, you may have a hard time looking for it.

8. I found my pick! Highlight it and press FILE then CONVERT.

9. You will see this dialog box. Type a filename so you can identify it later on. It saves in My Documents but you can change it. Click OK once you are done. Note that I blacked out my real name there!

10. Press CONVERT.

11. Ta-Da! I got Spyro's Voice!
