However, I can access my email at good speeds, but SF taxes the system to its limits. It gets worse when SR posts on the thread. Instead of the animated "Spyrorocks," what appears is extremely long html code in blue.

I am asking if a portable friendly mode could be made so the users can use portables or slow pcs to post? It should disable all the candy so it would be easy on the portables.
