I didn't say it was the truth and what really happened. What I was trying to get across was the best theory. That it wasn't just a meteor that killed the dinosaurs. It was a combination of events. Basically the dinosaurs were just really unlucky. Noone has denied the evidence for all of the scenarios I mentioned, nor has it been proved that it was only one factor. As I said, some species lived that in all theory should have died out when the dinosaurs did (enter stage left the sensitive little tree frogs). So most scientists agree that it wasn't just a meteor that killed them. Though I never denied that there wasn't a meteor. Sorry if it sounded like I was slating anyone. I wasn't meant to. As for some of the evidence, I recall it all of the top of my head, my computers' slow so I don't bother looking it up on google. If my facts are wrong I apologise........ Hehe.......

I know i've left Spyroforum, but I have more to say on this subject:
A.The things we eat for dinner are sheep, cows and pigs, all are way away from extinction. Ok, Slaughtering is cruel but what else are we supposed to eat? Its Human nature.

hunting for sport = wrong
hunting to eradicate an introduced species = justifiable
hunting a prolific species for food = fine
hunting any endangered species = wrong and illegal (in most places, apparently not japan though *cough*scientificresearchmyarse*cough*)

and as for the "OH NOES AN ANIMAL DIDE TO MAKEE MY SAMMICH* how about you go tell a whole bunch of omnivorous animals to stop eating meat, when they give a *bleep* about what you consider to be so horrible i might consider it myself

again i will state the facts, we have evolved (or were created with) a set of teeth consisting of molars for grinding, as well as canines and incisors for tearing, we are an omnivorous animal, if you have a problem with that you were born the wrong species

and no im not syaing you are a lycanthrope or any other form of mythical being

also i refuse to be politically correct on this issue, people seem to forget that plants are living things as well, but apparently because they cant move and have even less of a voice than animals they don't count, according to vegetarians, its not alive if it cant make noise and stare at you with cute little eyes

Sometimes your point of view really annoys me Fletch, but your right there.

B."OMG TH3 P01AR B34r 1Z DY1Ng C4Uz 0F Gl0b4l W4rm1ng!!11111ONEONEONE"- Not true actually, its mainly because of decreasing food supply and the fact that Polar bears find it so hard to breed. THe Decreaing food may be caused by Humans but we cant say for sure.
C.Pandas- Partly caused by Humans (deforestation) but Thats the Chinese for you, i cant help it, so cant you. But The Pandas eat need WAYY to much to eat, they havn't adapted well. They are also very hard to breed
D.Climate Change/Global Warming- uhhhhh, Proof anyone? Unless you give me some good proof, i'll continue being a sceptic.
Ice Caps are melting-False
C02 Levels are higher than ever before-Bullcrap
Humans are the source- Nope
Green House gases are killing us- Bluff
We've made a hole in the ozon layer- lie
Do i have to say anymore? Dont listen to what the media tells you.
E.Pollution- ITS A PROBLEM, soon everyone WILL look like China, for this one i am concerned, we really have to find alternate sources otherwise we'll be chokin.
But the main problem here is, the most polution IS caused by China, and they really have to get their act together, so does the United States.Australia causes less than 0.1% of the total polution in the planet, so theres nothing our country can really do. Heck, most of the polution here is caused by bushfires!
F.Litter-Also, i agree, we should really do something about this, either we do an unpractical system like buring rubbish or we get our act together and start using biodegratable stuffs.
G.Our World Is dying- No its not, certainly it would be in alot better conditions if humans didn't exist, but we're not "killing" our plnet, we're just making it more uninhabitable, a big difference. And Believe me, by the time our planet does get uninhabitable, we'd probably made a better, fresh colony on mars.

Stupid Rathet Comment- If I were an elephant, i would rather have my tusks cut off, Teeth sticking out of my mouth wouldn't feel right.....
Yeah but i'm not an elephant so its wrong to get ivory.

Should we help the enviornement?- Yes
Should we worry too much about it?- No.
What i mean by that is not worry night after night whether our grandkids wont see polar bears, just try and help the environment to last as long as possible.

the least you could do is apreciate it you're more fortunate than you think
you have a home food drink that is safe to drink family friends and tecnology medicens
don't you dare say it's a load of bull s**t or anything like that cause it just makes you ungratful

"Eat more food because others cant get it"- The leading cause of obsity lol XD

Believe me, if i could feed my leftovers to some starving children instead of my dog, i would, but i dont own a starving child do i. And do you realise that i would have to spend lots of money and risk my life in the ghetto areas just to feed them.
I am grateful i'm not a starving child, but theres no way i can help the children, JUst like Fletch said, Eating the rest of my food doesn't do anything.

well the animal died then they just goin to waste

Go into a lion's den and see how many waisted animals are there

how is that perfectly fine? you go out find an animal the kill it it's killing the speicies its bringing their population down how can you say that that is fine

If its not an endangered species, by the time you've Finally kiled the animal, 10 more probanly would have already been born

As for 'fighting for Queen and Country' in this War we aren't fighting for ourselves. True we are trying to fight for the benefit of others but is it really helping? We all thought that getting Saddam Husein out of the picture would help, but has it? If anything, it has just spurred his supporters on to more violence and pushed them to avenge his death. As I've said from the beginning, they have different beliefs and ways of doing things to us. It may well be much more beneficial to just leave them to it. The way we do things, is not neccessarily the way they do it and that may be what is making things worse. We need to get off our high horses and realise that for once 'our' way isn't working and we need to be willing to let others sort things out for themselves.

A.If anybody didn't realise, People Join the Army and Hence are prepared for wars on their OWN accord, No one forces them to fight for their country, people normally do it for money or because they have nothing better to do, its THEIR CHOICE. Anyone who signs up for the army should prepare for war, if you dont, your dumb.
B.People in the middle east were already being Idiots before We arrived, And Whats REALLY annoying is when people say things like "Its the americans fault if the IRAGies are misbehaving", there is such thing as being intimidating, but lets take this for example.
One day at School, Iraq Started Bashing up America, So America and His friends Told the teacher and Iraq Got in deep trouble, But Iraq's friends were now angry at America and his Friends, And Now America and his friends were starting to blame themselves.
Now this is kind of wrong, but you get the picture, its not our fault if Iraqy muslim terrorist want to be idiots and pests, they were Already before we even came.
Do you know that Iragies were such idiots that they burnt out many oil wells in Iraq just to annoy the Americans and waist Their oil, thats how STUPID they are. They really need to be settled.
C.If we just left IRAQ how it is, it will just get even more corrupt. Terrorist attacks will keep happening and the Innocents of IRAQ will just get more hurt. If we dont do anything, it will be worse than nothing.
D.We didn't go into IRAQ for money, Though Maybe a bit more money should be spent on the troops.

Phoenix_Flyer wrote:

The meteorite

Correction: meteor. Meteor refers to the extraterrestrial object that's still in space.

Phoenix_Flyer wrote:

The meteorite (not a shower) wasn't the cause of the extinction, just the final straw. Dinosaurs were on the decline and only about a dozen species of dinosaur and a handful of marine and flying reptiles were still alive at the end of the Cretaceous. It was a combination of volcanism, continental drift and dropping sea-levels that killed them with the meteor being the exclamation mark at the end.

I thought the meteor impact caused a whole bunch of environmental irregularities which eventually led to the demise of the dinosaurs, not the other way around where you state that the dinosaurs were already under a lot of stress before the occurrence of the impact. I think it makes more sense when you have a series of events, started by the impact, that cause a domino effect on the environment, negatively affecting life on the planet.
