The lives make no difference to the completion of the level. You must be missing the egg that you get from Moneybags after you defeat the Sorceress, Egg for Sale. Talk to Moneybags on the bridge to the Crystal Islands portal, and, well, you'll see what happens. [/sub]

Do you have a Paradox?
If you have, this explains that.
It's a cracked'n'hacked version.
there are 3 types of it.
1. NTSC/PAL selector
2. NTSC/PAL selector + 99 lives, infinite gems cheats
3. NTSC/PAL selector + 99 lives, infinite gems, infinite health cheats (silver upside-down sparx).

To play Spyro 3 normaly you must have orginal version ^^ (um, just not hacked ;])
Search, if you find some "PARADOX patched", DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT[/b]

Yeah, and I remember getting to that platform with the three lives WITHOUT GameShark, so I do not know what everyone is talking about!

I don't know. I'm playing through Year of the dragon now, so I can just wait and see what happens to me.

I finished the whole game. got into super bonus world... defeted the most annoying little pest aka the sorceress... and every level completed.
I went back to midnight mountain--- OMG!! no level complete sign came up! i checked the atlas. I have every egg and Gem there!! i haven't got the 3 lives on the platform cuz i dunt have game shark. but that wouldn't effect it!?!?! would it?
