You can counter this by just pressing down once before you enter the cheat.

You can change spyros color in Riptos rage

Turn Spyro red

Pause the game and press Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, Square, R1, R2, L1, L2, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up, Circle.

Turn Spyro blue

Pause the game and press Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, Square, R1, R2, L1, L2, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up, X.

Turn Spyro pink

Pause the game and press Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, Square, R1, R2, L1, L2, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up, Square.

Turn Spyro green

Pause the game and press Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, Square, R1, R2, L1, L2, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up, Triangle.

Turn Spyro yellow

Pause the game and press Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, Square, R1, R2, L1, L2, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up 2.
