:'( Illadin...Why must you have become evil! Honestly when Illadin tryed to stop Arthus it really didnt suprise me much...I suspected Illadin to want to become more powerful. But the game that gave me the biggest stunne was probly In the Eternal Night when Spyro was in the pirate ship cell and Moliare gives his the letter marded from Hunter of Avalar... Thats what gave me the biggest suprise.

As a kid, I was completely floored by the ending of the NES game "Astyanax". I totally didn't expect the wizard to actually BE a dragon, nor did I expect the dead fairy to come back. I love that game.

In more recent times...

Everything in "Okami". o.O That game is beautiful.

The scene in "Final Fantasy IX" when Zidane leaps onto a crumbling castle turret and grabs Dagger in his arms and pulls her to safety just before the whole castle falls almost made me cry.

But the greatest scene in any game ever that I've played? I'd have to say it was the end of "Ico". I was fighting back tears and, to this day, I don't fully understand why. It was a truly stunning moment. I won't describe it, though, because you really should play the game for yourself.

What I've played of "Ico"'s sequel, "Shadow of the Colossus" is also some of the most magnificent gaming I've ever seen. The atmosphere is really amazing.

Kinda hard for me... it's a tie between the ending to "Warcraft: The Frozen throne" and "Company of Heros: Bomb Scean"

In Warcraft, the dark prince, "Arthis", is just about to free the Lych King from the Frozen Throne but a deamon hunter, "Illadin" [ya, a few of you understand a certin charter better now] comes to stop him. A battle ensies, after a good 30 of sweet swordplay action Illadin leaps into the air to finish off Arthis who has fallen over, Arthlis gets to his feet and slashes upward. Illadin ends up lying on the ground, bleeding from a HUGE slash going all the way across his torso. And he dies.

Arthis begins climbing up the mountion the the Frozen Throne is on top of, as he climbs he hears everything the all his once loved ones said to him all throughout his jounry into evil and maddness. [He killed most of his loved ones too!] Once he reaches the top, he does not free the Lych King, but he kills him and takes his croun givving him all the Lych Kings power.

The bomb scean is simple enough. Once you destory an on shore artilerty battery off shore attack vessles start launching weapions at the bad guys on shore. As they do you get to watch the reaction the baddies have to the artilitery, it's not pretty. Mens' bodies flying through the air, many missing limbs. Mens sceaming and crying for it to stop, some begging god, other cursing him. Some just shaking on the ground with huge, blank, stairing eyes. It's a scean made to show that, even though they are the bad guys, their still guys, just like you and me...

Jeez mate thats a tough one. I have to think of a cinematic game to answer that really. *thinks*

Well I have to say, I can't think of a really stunning one, but the whole sequence on The World that Never was on Kingdom Hearts 2 was epic; from Axel giving up his life, to Sora confronting his Nobody, to the final battle with Riku helping.

Call of Duty 4, nuke scene.

After saving a pilot from her crash helicopter you board your transport with the rest of your troops. Before you rescued the pilot, command did warn you that you might not escape the nuke in time but you chose to rescue her anyway. You look back at the city and see the other helicopters trying to escape too but then the nuke hits. Your helicopter starts spinning out of control, a soldier next to you flies out the helicopter and soon everything goes black.

You wake up inside the crash helicopter and begin to crawl your way out. Once you get out you are stunned by all the destruction around you as you limp around only to die a few minutes later.

Paul Jackson
Status: K.I.A

This was the most stunning scene in a video game because of the aftermath of the nuke. Sure you only get to limp around for a few minutes but still really stunning and it's all in first person, you can even feel his heart beat through the controller's vibration. Here's the video of it if you don't want to read all that.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TGpiVQ2V … re=related
