One thing I have noticed is that some of the dragons are named after jazz musicians (check it out). But yes, I believe my name was on the island in the swamp. Michael.

Never in a Spyro game will my name be mentioned. XD
It's "Chiara", and it's pronounced "Kiara". So TLK 2 got close, but none of the baby dragons in YotD did. x3

What you want to do is not search for your OWN NAME in YotD but search for one like Cynder, Flame, Ember, Ignitus, Malefor, etc!

It would be a REVOLUTION if they were in there!
