this is about the movie right? if it is, im to late! everyones posted b4 me and i cant get in my ideas properly. oh well my tough luck. the spyro movie wont be very good, looking at the poster. it looks to real, rather than how it really should look. to me, it wont be a very good movie. it might be humorous, or dramatic, but it wont be very good apart from effects and stuff....and the other stuff.

Well lets see, I believe the Sonic the hedgehog movie was at least somewhat funny and good.
So this might just have the chance. Also, it's going to be CG, so that puts even more of a chance that it'll be good.

I think a Spyro film would be perfect to get an actual feel of the epic storyline. If they actually do come out with a Spyro movie, I will definitely make sure to see if it's worthy to the games or not.

I've waited much too long for a Spyro film to drop my hopes now.

Hey, now, I happened to like the Mario movie. Not because it was good, mind, but because it was so weird and I had fangirl crushes on both John Leguizamo (Luigi) and Dennis Hopper (Koopa). Also, I thought the world set up was really neat. If you pretend it has nothing to do with the games, it's a good movie.

And SR, that is the second biggest reason why I don't like the idea of a Spyro film of any sort. It's the wrong dynamic. You go from interacting with the characters and story on a personal level to just being told what to think and feel. It just doesn't work.

Its all depends on whether it is done well. The Dungeon and Dragon films sucked, even though the game itself was popular. It also depends on whether they can get much of the people voicing the characters to commit to the film.

It's not the lack of proof for this project that is distressing. It's the fact that someone wants to make a movie at all. And it's a no-name company with few movies to their credit, none of them particularly well noted. I am not convinced that it is a good idea to make a Spyro movie. In fact, I think it's a bad idea.

I did a search and found the news on several movie websites. Razz has a good point though. Until they give actual screenshots and advertise it on TV, then we don't have much proof to go by.

To be honest I was all excited about this when I heard the news. But in order for it to make it believible they are actually going to make the film, just like you said Razz, we need to see evidence and progress of the film being made.
