Nicely said Sazex, that's exactly how I feel too. Lol, my head just be bobbing subconciously to the music while I'm playing and when it stops it kinda startles me outta my gaming trance. I be like 'Hey what happened to the music???' But when it comes back on I just start rocking to it while playing again. Heck I already knew about the Galbadia Hotel almost a couple of years ago and even started burning the songs to a cd so I can listen to it anywhere I want.

So yes I full heartedly agree that Stewart Copeland makes the best Spyro music ever so Rebecca No-Dice can just step aside and let the Masters of Playful and Lively Music take over for our spunky little purple putz, a.k.a. Spyridon 'Spyro' the Dragon.

I think that the first game had the best music because it gives you a good feeling and it has good tracks to listen too. Plus when your playing around collecting things then when the song stops, you have an empty feeling while playing around, but then all of a sudden it comes back again and gives you a good feeling again, plus it goes along very well with the great scenery.

This appears to be a game music debate topic, but seeing as there is no other music topic around, I might as well provide the information in put here.

Whether you enjoy, Steve, Rebecca or whats-that-name, I recommend this site for MP3 Downloads.

http://gh.ffshrine.org/

Just so I'm not heavily interrogated, here is the site's very own legal statement regarding the music on the site;

'We realize MP3s have become a hot-heated issue in recent times, so we'd like to provide some clarification: Galbadia Hotel will make every effort to not only comply with the law, but also with the wishes (within reason) of copyright holders and artists. Video game music is market that was virtually created because of the activity in VGM communities online. Owners own the games: all they didn't have previously was a way to listen to the music. We provide an easy way for users to have a chance to re-experience the music in games they love, which we're quite sure will actually create a market for commercial game music, not diminish it.

Currently the only viable market exists mostly in Japan. Unfortunately for most of us, obtaining said releases is near-impossible: often ridiculous import charges are appended and inflate the price. Not only that, but frequently imported CDs are often bootlegs themselves- and the artists, record labels, and copyright holders earn no money from their sales.

As of August 2005, not a single company has contacted us. Hopefully this will give you some peace of mind.

Regardless, though, we'll comply with all reasonable removal requests from copyright holders, record labels, and the artists themselves.

One of Galbadia Hotel's long term missions is to aid in creating a viable video game music market in non-Japanese audiences. Eventually, we hope our site will lead to more commercially available video game music within our reach, not less.'

Make of that what you will...

I have that video, it's quite good. Copeland's music rocks, and is better than the new Spyro music by far. Copeland's style of music defines the Spyro character. The new music is just like any other video game music.
