Yes, Toys for Bob, the creator of Skylanders, is working on the Spyro Reignited Trilogy.

Ah, so it is true! I'm not sure whether to be afraid of that knowledge or happy. I did play a Skylanders game for a while with a friend, thought the gameplay was fun(but can't really give a 100% opinion on it  because I haven't played it for very long). but it not being developed by a team that focused on Spyro only. But I don't think it matters in the very end, I suppose.
What's your opinion on that, have you played a lot of Skylanders?

It's been ages last time I went to this forum. I did jump here a few years ago again to compliment the staff about the forum's designs and upgrades. I still love how it looks today and overal, happy to see you guys are still around.

The thing I hope to see with the Reignited trilogy is that they take all aspects from the ol' games, but taking it with care. I know many people want to have new things and a lot of changes because new technology and everything. That is true, but I just hope that 'feel' will be there still. Like you're playing the PS1 games, but with better graphics.   Crash did very well I heard ( I haven't played the new version myself) so I suppose we've got nothing to worry? but there's always that...slight idea in my mind that something goes wrong. I mean, it's been years and years after all.... Crash still had some games down the road focusing him, but Spyro had to wait a very long time to have the main spotlight again. It's been too long!
As far as I know, they take the old tracks and just 'remixing' them with some new elements? Though...I did hear the Skylander team is working on the entirety of the game? Not 100% sure.

Do some of you still remember when AFTER Dawn of the Dragon, a list came out potentially 'leaking' new games coming, and Spyro was on that list? Under the name of "Spyro's adventures" or something like... "Spyro's World" ?
All the wild ideas we had posted on this forum, I remember so well... Because at the end of Dawn of the Dragon,

so hence we thought it would be some kind of spin-off but yet somewhat related to the trilogy's storyline. Would've been fitting at least

I still long for...perhaps a spin-off like the trilogy. Continuing with Cynder, the dragon elders, etc who were mentioned. Kinda what we 'hoped' for before Skylanders was announced. Or anything like that to see them again once more.
Either way, I must say I'm still really happy with the remake release of the old 3 games. That's really something still!
