I agree that none of us own Activision any thank yous.  But I can't be negative about something like the Reignited Trilogy in principle, simply because I had higher hopes for newer games.  I think newer games will come if the Reignited Trilogy succeeds.  It may not be what we expect, but it will be something that Activision will try to make profitable.  Don't be surprised if Spyro gets a new game, but it's his Skylanders form.  And also don't be surprised if they do something with Spyro that is not a platformer.  Adventure platforms are risky business in 2018.  And try to keep in mind that Activision's plan for Spyro ought to be to represent him in a way that's attractive to new fans.  Getting Spyro new fans is the only way he survives.  Us geezer Spyro fans have a lot of heart, but Activision wants the next generation's money.  If all they do is make older fans happy and no one else, Spyro will fail in the long run.  If you expect Activision to cater to your nostalgia, you're going to be disappointed.  The Reignited Trilogy is a great bone they're throwing us though.  At the end of the day, I just prefer not to be a miserable old school fan and enjoy Spyro in every form possible.

But yeah, hopefully it's satire because it's wayyy too early to be complaining about anything at this point. And what we've seen so far seems pretty loyal to the original games....
