Something that always bugged me was how some of those previously freed dragons suddenly had a different voice (Tomas, Cosmos) or color (Cleetus, though the PAL version corrected this error), or acted like they hadn't been rescued the first time (Tomas).

i had no idea these dragons had even been rescued before, am i the only person to not notice this? i'm going to have to pay more attention next time i play Spyro 1, apparently!

Well, Tomas is actually maybe just an Artisan on vacation.  Tomas the dragon is the dragon you freed in the Artisan homeworld closest to Town Squares' portal.  He shows up  again in Gnorc Cove and helped set up the "YA GOTTA BELIEVE!" Spyro line.

And then again, a Tomas dragon showed up in A Hero's Tail towards the beginning albiet different color and voice, doing an annoying good job of feeding Spyro's allergic reaction to the elderly.

Tomas was also an elder dragon in Shadow Legacy, but no one cares about that game

Gnasty's World Dragons: they love being the center of attention lol get it because the island is circular and the platform is in the middle of the island

hm... so i just went through quick and rescued the dragons in those worlds (all five dragons that are available before unlocking Gnasty's Loot) and............. it doesn't seem like they have much of a personality, lol. i guess they seem ... sort of "brutish" like the Peace Keeper dragons, but "nicer"?

i'm definitely artistic, and i'm very creative. i draw, i write, i take pictures, etc (... even if i need to be more productive and actually *make* more art :V ) but i can also be pretty cynical/sarcastic, and when i get into heated discussions, i'm definitely guilty of showing off my intellect/knowledge, which seems to match well with how you describe Magic Crafters citizens.

i definitely lean closer to "Artisan", though. by far.

edit: honestly though i can see a little bit of myself in all of them.
