I think it's supposed to sound like their typical "dumb American" slurring their words.

This isn't really "serious" material though, honestly, more like a random thought. I'm gonna move it to General.

well, i'm not a patriot. no doubt about that. but even i never liked the term 'murica. it does come across as... i dunno... unnecessarily insulting. "cheap", as you said.

It seems this is the case of mocking the way some pronounce the word America. Don't really know where this joke originated from, but it makes them sound more silly. Just frankly i mean.

I am just kinda wondering to your feelings on the term. I mean i am not taking it 100% seriously. I just find it kinda sad to resort to those kind of cheap jokes to dehumanise a country to make one feel better about their political group or agenda, without taking some common interest in addressing something substantially.
