I think every country has an email service of it's own. For example, the first Email address I registered was on an Israeli site (which still runs today) called Walla. (Name@Walla.com)

Yea, gmail is good, our uni uses it for student emails. But for personal email I have a czech one which I dont think you could use but it is very good.

Another vote for Gmail. Never had any problems with it, and its filtering options are super useful.

I also hear inbox.com is good (but it's website looks like trash,)
and I know a lot of people still use Yahoo Mail today (for some reason)

i've been using hotmail for about as long as i've been active on the internet, but ever since they merged with Outlook, i've just gotten so sick of their nonsense. it's like Outlook are purposely trying to ruin the service.

can anyone recommend alternatives?
