A few things I've learned about depression since ... the last few years of my life.

- Sleeping during the day makes sense. He doesn't really want to be around anyone else. And it's the easiest way to escape from the world.
- Someone dealing with depression doesn't want to socialize with anyone, so why take him to therapy? I would probably punch my therapist and walk out if he tried conversing with me. Because I didn't want to be there in the first place.
- Hot green tea helps because tea is amazing. Make him hot tea. And change his desktop background to something beautiful like this for example. Might help him think.

And yes, I've seen one of my Steam friends legitimately feel depressed because his city's football team lost. Ridiculous, I know, but it happens.

He's sad, lonely, sleep deprived, disappointed, impatient, unrealistic, and completely dead on the inside. He actually had a few franchise revival ideas himself...for psychonauts, but he doesn't even write them down anymore. It makes sense, because I don't even write mine down, anymore. He's so afraid of what others might think of them, that he just pities himself to the point that he makes himself almost seemingly have lied motionless at times. If I were to give a scale of 1 to 10 on how depressed he was, I'd give an octillion.
