Here's a suggestion for your future suggestions, Locoguy: try to think about if your suggestion is going to improve the site instead of just posting whatever you happen to think of. That extra little button isn't hurting anything, and it's not broken, so why suggest removing it? Removing it would take away functionality that people actually use.
