Would a fan art competition be something to consider? I'm no good at art, but I'm always amazed by what the fanbase can do with really great looking art...

I thought of the level speedruns too, but we have such a small base of contest-goers in the first place, having to record your entry lowers that even more.

So the scavenger hunt idea looks promising then. Once we get a few more people on board and it's closer to the holidays, I (or Stormy) can make some individual threads for that and secret santa to lay down the rules, and we can go from there. I'll start brainstorming some ideas and thinking of rewards for the winners in the mean time.

You could have a sort of speedrun challenge where you see how fast you can finish the level from entering it. I suppose you'd have to record it, and add a timer, though.

Scavenger hunt is a good idea, but I would definitely need some help coming up with locations and hints. And we would need to know if anyone is actually interested of course before wasting out time on that.

I'm definitely up for both of these! How about a scavenger hunt type thing for the levels that don't have timed minigames? You could come up with a hint or two, and participants would use the hints to figure out which part of the level you're talking about and take a picture of Spyro at that location. Obviously these would have to be PMed so no one could cheat off of other people's answers.

So I'm going to need your help to decide what y'all want to do. I have a few ideas, but they need to be developed a bit. Let me know what you think, and if you have any better ideas, feel free to share.

First idea: Secret Santa
For those who don't know, Secret Santa is an event where everyone is randomly assigned someone to give a gift to, and you keep it a secret until the gift giving. This one might be weird since it would be difficult to send physical gifts to people, but I think virtual gifts would work just fine! The gifts wouldn't have to be anything huge, and wouldn't require you to spend any money (unless you wanted too!) Some gift ideas could be: game download codes, digital art, avatars/banners, a themed Christmas fanfiction, or anything else, just be creative! Everyone who wanted to participate would be assigned a number, and numbers would be exchanged randomly.

Second idea: 12 Days of Christmas
Spyro has snow levels, right? And as it works out, Spyro 1-3 has 12 of them...

I thought it might be cool to have a 'daily' 12-day contest dealing with some of these snowy levels (obviously you wouldn't have to make your entry the day of, but you would post them on the respective day, which is one of the reasons I want to start early). The thing is, I have no idea how to incorporate competitions into some of these levels.
