LOL I'm not bashing it at all. I'm actually all right with Skylanders as it's own stand-alone IP. The games are okay and they are fun to play with like younger children. Plus I am friends with one of the developers behind the games. Spyro was the back-bone of the IP but personally there really is no reason for him to be in the games anymore if he's not the main character. The main characters are cool (I guess) as they do seem Spyro universe-ish. That's actually one thing I like about these games, they are very much inspired by the original Spyro series, so that's neat. There's just not as much Spyro in these games, that's all.

But my god, the FIRST thing outside of the universe they decide to 'cross-over' with? Super Mario. I mean, no offense, but I've seen tons of demand for the classic characters, and Crash Bandicoot wouldn't seem out of place. But I mean, why Mario? I am a big fan of the Mario/DK games but DK and Bowser seem to be out of place to me. Well, I guess I can finally play a game where Spyro characters and Mario characters co-exist in the same universe.

I wonder if Malefor makes more of an appearance in Superchargers since he is meant to be appearing "pretty soon" (according to your dA Q&A a month ago), maybe at least featuring in some Easter Egg.

Legend of Spyro Malefor. Is evil, cunning, and manipulative, Skylanders Malefor is Dangerous, malevolent, and Intellegent, But even though Malefor in LOS wanted to destroy the world that's all he wanted. This Malefor is power- hungry and wants to be the undisputed king of Skylands. And eliminate the Skylanders. Sky Malefor has more personality to me as well. I like him as a villain. So he's the bigger bad.

Malefor in Skylanders does have more of a personality and character to him. The 'lore' of LoS Malefor is briefly brushed over as I recall, and this Q&A builds on that further. However, we aren't fully given the motive as to why both chose to become evil initially, but Skylandes Malefor does have a motivation for his actions (the need to be the most powerful else his self constructed delusion of his place in this world is non-existent [If that makes sense ] ).

Personally, I would like to see the origins of his evilness. I could see something similar to what Stalin had or something, where he has some extreme paranoia of other people besting/usurping him and and thus he needs more power and control in order to prevent that (which then makes more people hate him so he needs more power etc...).

Overall, I think Skylanders Malefor has more going for him, though I like the design of both .
