As for Spyro's presence in Skylanders, please read this thread that I made yesterday. Spyro's inclusion in Skylanders gets brought up in almost every single Skylanders thread to the point that it gets disruptive. Even if it's related to the topic, there are better places to talk about it than Skylanders news discussion threads like this.

A lot of previous Spyro games have done this. For example, "Avalar" was reused and turned into something completely different in both Shadow Legacy and TLoS.

That is true.

At least those were SPYRO games though. I just find it strange that Spyro is involved in the universe of Skylanders at all. He's a guest at best, and then has random references to his past games. His insertion into the franchise just befuddles me.

but Stormy is right. there are a few references to classic Spyro in TLOS (Avalar, Hunter, Sparx eating the butterflies in the Ancient Grove...). all the better, i say. we should have *something* linking the series other than just Spyro.
