i think it's because he still looks ugly like Skylanders Spyro, but he has some features that people generally consider "cute" like being small and having big eyes, small nose etc.

Also, it sounded like I was bitter when I made my first comment, but not really. There are much worse things that could have been done (and have been done) with Spyro's likeness. Also, I've never played Skylanders at all, so my opinion is pretty much not worth listening to

I'm pretty sure his head has a larger volume than the rest of his body. An interesting direction they've taken Spyro, in any case. I'll say no more. (but hey, at least it isn't "Spynder")
