The (few) negative reviews aren't even that bad, and their reasons have nothing to do with Spyro, just that the game is simple. In which case, that's what you should expect, it's a kid's game. Their (brilliant) marketing strategy is to sell toys, after all.

I doubt we'll see Spyro anytime soon unless it's in his Skylandic form. Skylanders is a huge hit with the kiddies (and even some adults/fans who have gotten past the 'Spyro is ugleee' stage), and they're making a good amount of money from the games.

And honestly, whilst I still hope for a new Spyro game, I don't want another Legend of Spyro game, sorry. I would only be truly excited for a classic game.

i doubt they will because Skylanders is selling well regardless of its quality or how "well" they designed Spyro, they're gonna go where the money is and stay there.

i do hope they go in a different direction, though. i'm not sure they will, but i hope so.

and i would love another TLOS game too, but... perhaps without the moodier moments, you know? they had their place but i'm just not "feeling it" lately.

people hate skylanders because spyros in it, which is stupid. if spyro werent in skylanders, i bet it would get less hate. it isnt a bad game. people will just never get over that spyro isnt the game that they use to play and just need to get over it.

Dude, you're gonna make them think that you're me with a different name. I mean yeah, I don't like Skylanders any more than you do, and I would like to have another TLoS-styled game...by whatever means necessary.

Skylanders received a *bleep* load of negative reviews due to turning our loving purple dragon hero into a scaly, winged, smelly, fat horned toad face having ugly piece of inconceivable *bleep* (no offense to those of you who like Skylanders). Does anyone think, even hope that they make a cool line of Spyro games like the legend of Spyro trilogy?
