I'm kind of like Paranoia in a way bout the entire thing. I don't need social media to keep in touch with someone if I want too I'll just talk to em face to face, If not then well it's what it is. And I don't need to have information about stuff I don't like uploaded. So I'm glad I ain't ever gonna use that site.

This is why I never use Facebook. It's a good way to talk through PM's and chat bu that's about it.

Someone might be completely normal in real life, and obnoxious on Facebook. I just don't need to know every little thing about your life, thanks. Plus I don't think anyone needs to see when I 'like' something or like your situation, just posting some random stuff. Not to mention looking through settings is a complete nightmare.

believe me, i *use* facebook and you have a lot of good reasons to despise it, Mr. John. i sort of have to use it i guess though, it's the only way i can reasonably communicate with certain people.

and yeah, facebook's news feed makes no sense. it's not quite that bad with me, but i do often get updates when people so much as comment on a page. i remember having to follow someone because facebook randomly stopped showing their posts, even though i have no problem with that person. on the other hand, i had to hide mostly *everything* from a couple other people because they post so much stuff i can hardly even scroll past all of it. facebook in general is a trainwreck.

I'm really starting to wonder how Facebook decides which posts to show people.

Yesterday I was posting on a Facebook page about a complaint I had with the company's product that I had purchased. People who hadn't liked or even viewed the page before were seeing the posts from me in their news feed. No idea why Facebook thought my friends would be interested in reading about dog hair inside a dance pad. o_O

For the longest time I wasn't getting any updates from a certain friend, even though I usually find his posts funny. People would tell me about his posts, and I would have to go to his profile to see them. I fixed the issue by "following" this friend, liking a few of the statuses that came up, and then unfollowing.

I keep blocking annoying political posts that tempt me to get into arguments with the people who post them, but Facebook apparently isn't very good at determining what I find annoying, because I'm still seeing the same kind of stuff from the same people.

Facebook let me know that one of my friends was gay by showing me that he had posted to a group for gay men that I had never even viewed before.

Have you ever noticed anything weird about your Facebook news feed?
