It's not even that.

Spyro can just boom & zoom (flight tactic) the slow soldier.

A soldier is a highly trained long ranged and short ranged warrior with guns, knives, and other military means at their disposal.

Spyro has his Fire breath which could reduce to soldier to nothing but a pile of ashes in a milo second. He also could use his elect breath which would fry to soldier to a skeleton. His earth breath could shatter all the bones in his body. And Ice breath would cause the soldier to freeze to death in frigid temperature and encasing. Spyro wins hands down. He doesn't even need to waste his fury even.
