Lot's of game developers like to end their games in a way where it could end, but is open enough that it could also continue. I interpret that as an example of that.

The fact that it read 'But this time the dragons will be ready... and waiting' to me means it wasn't that much of a cliffhanger. It implies that they're ready and won't have to spend a long time sending him away again, but that's just me.

Now the end of Epic Mickey 2, however... That is a cruel cliffhanger that leaves me wanting to know what happens next. If SL had ended with one of the main cast being shown as kidnapped at the end, I might have been a bit more expectant of a sequel.

i've never played this game. why are you waiting for a sequel? did the game itself imply that the story was going to continue at some point? or do you just in general want another one?

I'm still waiting, regardless. Even if I have to come up with a spinoff successor that focuses on Spyro's son, I'm still waiting...

Yeah, sorry, but pretty much what Flapjacks said. There's no point in waiting for a sequel if there's no chance of it happening.

Implying that not only would Activision bring back Spyro, but that they would also make a sequel to one of the most obscure games in the franchise.
