Right, and even if someone managed to reverse engineer it somehow and implemented it in a game, that person would probably be sued. You would need to get permission for this for sure.

I'm pretty sure the SDK for the portal is closed source and only licensed developers have access to it.

How will you implement the skylanders portal thing?

By some luck, I hope that I come across a genius hacker.

The deal is, whatever powers your Skylanders have right now can give Spyro a head start in the game; he will borrow the Skylanders' powers to give himself an advantage against enemies.

Example: You own a fire Skylander. His powers can make Spyro's flames burn more flesh early on, depending on how strong your Skylander is. This way, Spyro doesn't have to go through a lot of fights before he can finally get a more powerful fire breath.

Or you can put a fighting Skylander on that portal so Spyro's tail/horn attacks can hit enemies harder, almost if they can bleed (even though there'll be no blood in the game, LOL). In some cases, maybe your fighting Skylander can make him able to just make enemies fly when he hits them.

All you need to do is to put your Skylanders on the Skylander portal at the beginning of the game.

I can rip any model out of any spyro game if you wish but some of them may not come with textures due to the game discs way of being a *bleep*.
