One minor thing that bugs me with Windows 8.1 is that the scrolling on my touchpad gets disabled every time the computer restarts. Never happened until I upgraded from 8 to 8.1. But other than that, I don't have any problems (though I'm not the most computer-savvy person). I basically just use Windows 8.1 as I would Windows 7. Installed Classic Shell for a start menu and never looked at the Start Screen again. I'm sure it would be great on a touchscreen device, but I'm not a fan of Start Screen all that much in general.

Yeah, they do exactly the same things as Windows. Except use Sony Vegas, play almost every game on Steam, use Fruity Loops, have a good video card, a good processor, or any of that. And, seriously? $1800 for an iMac? I got my PC for $300 brand new, and it has much better specs than any Mac you can find. Windows is a bit more confusing than Mac, but I honestly think it's well worth it.

Basically purple_dragon_spyro's story, but with Windows instead of Mac. Macs confuse me whenever I try to use one. (which is not very often)

I find most Apple products to be incredibly overpriced, so I never bothered to try to own one personally. Never even had an iPod.

I've installed a bunch of applications on my computer (such as Adobe Photoshop CS5 and Minecraft) and they all work fine. Macs have many more uses than just Windows. They do exactly the same things as Windows. I just prefer the layout of everything and the design.

My grandparents use their Windows computer only for playing solitaire, so not all Windows users actually know much about computers. I had to teach them what USB ports are.

I use a Mac. I just use it because I've used Macs all my life, ever since I first learned about computers as a young child, and it makes the most sense to me because of that. Windows is really confusing to me, because I'm unfamiliar with how its laid out, and I have no experience with Linux.

I was curious to learn what operating systems people use. So, I made this poll. I also thought that we could discuss different operating systems in this topic.

Note: for the poll, choose the operating system of your computer. Not the computer you use at school or work. Your computer.
