Just a minute ago, Sear and Burst were exploring their new hiding spot they found. Now they were in the Between. They don't know how they know that, or if this was reality anymore, but they were thinking about going back through the portal, when they looked behind them, and it was replaced by a different portal. The portals seem to be made of nothing, just existing in a blob of whatever they were.
Burst: "Sear... S- Sear..." Sear: "Spit it out, will ya?" "I think I just wet myself..." "...Spyro almighty help us..."
After floating around aimlessly, Burst was getting restless, and Sear was speechless (something not like him). Burst: "That's it! I'm seeing where this portal will bring me! I need something to stand on!" Then Burst floated toward a grass-green and water-blue swirl portal. Sear: "Hey! Burst, GET BACK-"
But Burst was already gone, into the portal. "Oh god..." Sear shook his head and went into the portal after Burst...

There is not just your one Universe, the one where you are sitting at your computer, wasting your life away on stuff like Spyro. There are many Universes out there. An uncountable amount of them, all of them forming what is known as the Multiverse. There are portals that allow you to go Between. Just don't get stuck in the Between.

I came back to this website after, what was it, about a little more then a year, I think. So to celebrate it for myself, I decided to start a RP. So to start, you'll be in the Legend of Spyro Universe. There is a portal underground that not many have found, and those who have found it never told a soul. That portal is a Multiversal Portal. When you enter a Multiversal Portal, you go to the Between, where there's not a single particle of anything, including heat, and the only thing keeping you alive is the magic of it, which is also what is allowing you to see in that pitch-black. You simply float through it, along with the portals to other Universes (which aren't substantial, but work anyway). The following is a character sheet.
