We had to pay H&R Block quite a bit, and that was with a "loyalty discount." Ours was extra complicated though because we worked in two different states, lived in two different states, and got married that year, haha.

Ugh, that sounds frustrating. I did mine about a month ago. I just wish the free sites like HR Block would let you file your state taxes for free too. I had to actually figure out the state tax form myself, and then put it in the mail I did get a decent refund though.

Today, the last day before they were due, KingLambda and I were filing our taxes. I went to the IRS website to get my e-filing code or whatever it's called, and they didn't recognize any of my information. Apparently my name, birthday, SSN, and address were all wrong. I called their phone number, assuming their website must be broken. Of course I got a machine, which made made me go through all the information again before helpfully informing me that their offices were currently closed and that I should call back tomorrow.

On the bright side, at least we got a pretty nice tax return. Thanks Obama?

Did you have to file any taxes this year? Pretty fun and not a waste of time at all, right?
